| Properties : |

Used to repair the deficiency of Vitamin K3 causes a
reduction in the prothrombine content of the blood
which prevents blood clotting in haemorrhage cases. |

| Indications : |
| |
In Poultry, Vitamin K3 is used for :
- Prevention & treatment of Vitamin K3 deficiency.
- Haemorrhagic diseases (Gumboro, Coccidiosis,
heavy parasitic infestation).
- Before debeaking and vaccination.
- Egg blood spots.
- Stress conditions.
- Reduce mortality rate in the embryonic stages.
In large animals :
- Epistaxis in racing horses.
- Jaundice of newborn.
- Anaemia, haemorrhages & heavy metal intoxication.
- Hepatic and intestinal disorder.
- Preventive bleeding measure in delivery & surgery. |

| Dosage : |

Poultry :
10 gm / 100 liters of drinking water for
3 - 5 days.
Large Animlas :
1 gm per 30 kg body weight
added to feed or in drinking water for 4 days.
Double the doses in severe cases. |

| Side Effects : |
| |
Excessive large doses can cause, haemolytic anemia,
hyperbilirubinemia and kernicterus especially
in new born animals . |

| Remarks : |
| |
Should not be used in case of poisoning with coumarin
derivatives and hypoprothrombinaemia in young animals. |
