Tectin Super

Composition :

Each 1 gm Contains:
- Ivermectin	10 mg.
- Clorsulon	100 mg.

Properties :

- Tectin Super is ready-to-use, sterile solution of Ivermectin and Clorsulon.

- Ivermectin is derived from the avermectins, a family of potent broad-spectrum antiparasitic agents which are isolated from fermentation of the naturally occurring soil organism Streptomyces avermitilis.

- Clorsulon is a specific treatment for liver fluke.

- Tectin-super is formulated to deliver the recommended dosage level of 200 μg Ivermectin and 2 mg Clorsulon per kg live weight given subcutaneously.

Indications :

Indicated for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms, liver flukes, eye worms, warbles, mites and lice of beef and nonlactating dairy cattle and Sheep.
- Tectin Super effectively controls the following parasites:

Cattle:
Gastrointestinal roundworms: Ostertagia ostertagi (adults L4, L3 including inhibited larvae) O.lyrata (adults and immatures) , Haemonchus placei (adults, L4,L3), Mecistocirrus digitatus (adults), Trichostrongylus axei (adults, L4), T. colubriformis (adults, L4), Cooperia oncophora (adults, L4), C. punctata (adults, L4), C. pectinata(adults, L4), Oesophagostomum radiatum (adults, L4,L3), Nematodirus helvetianus (adults), N.spathiger (adults), Strongyloides papillosus(adults), Bunostomum phelbotomum (adults, L4,L3),Toxocara vitulorum (adults), Trichuris spp.(adults).

Lungworms: Dictyocaulus viviparous (adults L4, including inhibited larvae) Liver fluke: Fasciola hepatica (adults and immature), F. gigantica (adults). Skinworms: Parafilaria bovicola (adults). Eveworms: Thelazia spp.(adults) Cattle Grubs : ( parasitic stages ) Hypoderma bovis,H. lineatum ,Dermatobia hominis Mange mites : Psoroptes bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei var bovis Sucking lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus Screw Worm Fly: Chrysomya bezziana (parasitic stages), Cochliomyia hominivorax (parasitic stages) Sand Tampans: Ornithodoros savignyi Ticks: Boophilus microplus, Damalinia bovis, Chorioptes bovis, Boophilus decoloratus, Haemonchus placei, Cooperia spp. Ostertagia ostertagi,Oes ophagostomum radiatum, Dictyocaulus viviparous. Tectin super injection effectively controls established ``Strike`` with larvae of the old World screw worm fly, Chrysomya bezziana. Tectin super injection for cattle prevents development of myiasis caused by the larvae of the New World screw worm fly, Cochliomyia hominivorax, in the navel of newborn calves treated at the earliest opportunity after birth, preferably within 24 hours, and in the castration wound of male calves treated immediately after surgery. All animal treated with Tectin super injection following birth or castration should be observed daily until healing is completed; whenever curative treatment is necessary, a commercially available antiscrew worm topical product should be used.

Sheep:
Gastrointestinal roundworms: onchus contortus (adults, L4, L3, including inhibited larvae), Ostertagia circumcincta (adults, L3, L4, including inhibited larvae), O. trifurcata (adults, L4), Trichostrongylus axei (adults), T. colubrifromis (adults, L4, L3), T. vitrinus (adults), Nematodirus filicollis (adults, L4), N.spathiger (L4, L3) , Cooperia curticei (adults, L4), Oesophagostomum columbianum (adults, L4, L3), O Venulosum (adults),Chabertia ovina (adults, L4,L3), Trichuris ovis (adults), Strongyloides papillosus (L4, L3) Gaigeria pachyscelis (adults L4, L3). Lungworms: Dictyocaulus filarial (adults, L4, L3), Protostrongylus rufescens (adults) Liver Fluke: Fasciola hepatica (adults), F. gigantica (adults) Nasal Bot: Oestrus ovis (all larval stages) Mites : Psorergates ovis, Sarcoptes scabiei, Psoroptes communis var ovis. A single injection will markedly reduce the number of P. ovis and frequently lead to resolution of clinical signs of scab. Under certain circumstances, two injections seven days apart maybe required to eliminate all living mites.

Dosage and administration :

	Administered by subcutaneous injection only, behind the shoulder. Cattle & Sheep: 1ml per 50 kg body weight (based on recommended dosage level of 200 micrograms Ivermectin and 2 mg Clorsulon per kg bodyweight.

Warning :

	Transitory discomfort has been observed in some cattle and sheep following subcutaneous administration. - An incidence of soft tissue swelling at the injection site has been observed. - Divide doses in excess of 10 ml between different injection sites.

Contraindications :

	- This product is not for intravenous or intramuscular use. - Don’t smoke or eat while handling this product. - Wash hands after use.

Withdrawal Period :

	-Cattle and sheep shouldn’t be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and within 28 days from the last treatment. - Cattle and sheep producing milk for human consumption shouldn’t be treated during lactation or within 28 days of commencement of lactation. - Don’t use in non-lactating dairy cows including pregnant heifers within 60 days of calving.
