Tectin super injection effectively controls established ``Strike`` with larvae of the old
World screw worm fly, Chrysomya bezziana.
Tectin super injection for cattle prevents development of
myiasis caused by the larvae of the New World screw worm fly, Cochliomyia hominivorax, in the navel of newborn calves
treated at the earliest opportunity after birth, preferably within 24 hours, and in the castration
wound of male calves treated immediately after surgery. All animal treated with Tectin super
injection following birth or castration should be observed daily until healing is completed;
whenever curative treatment is necessary, a commercially available antiscrew worm topical
product should be used.

Nasal Bot: Oestrus ovis (all larval stages)
Mites : Psorergates ovis, Sarcoptes scabiei, Psoroptes communis var ovis. A single injection
will markedly reduce the number of P. ovis and frequently lead to resolution of clinical signs
of scab. Under certain circumstances, two injections seven days apart maybe required to
eliminate all living mites. |
