| - Dihydrostreptomycin |

| Properties : |
| |
Strepcillin is a suspension for injection, containing Procaine-
Penicillin and Dihydrostreptomycin. Penicillin is an antibiotic
of the B-lactam class; Dihydrostreptomycin belongs to the
Aminoglycosides. The combination is active against both
Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus
spp, Streptococcus spp, Pasteurella spp, Haemophilus spp and
Leptospira spp. |

| Indications : |
| |
Treatment and prevention of infections caused by
bacteria sensitive to Penicillin or Dihydrostreptomycin,
such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections,
infections at surgery, navel-ill and Leptospirosis. |

| Dosage and administration : |
| |
Administered by intramuscular or subcutaneouse
injection. |
| |

Dosage interval 24 hours.
Duration of treatment 3-5 days. |

| Contraindications: |
| |
- Not to be used in animals known to be allergic
to Penicillin or Dihydrostreptomycin.
- Not to be used if ß-lactamase producing organisms
are known to be present.
- The administration of products containing Procaine
Penicillin may occasionally cause transient Pyrexia,
vomiting, shivering, listlessness and nation
in pigs. Rare cases of abortion have been reported
in pregnant sows and gilts. |

| Warnings : |
| |
- Operators that are allergic to Penicillin or
(Dihydrostreptomycin) should avoid skin contact
with the product.
- When treatment is repeated the same injection
site should not be used twice. |

| Withdrawal Preiod : |
| |
- Animal’s meat should not be used during treatment
and within 14 days from the last treatment.
- Milk should not be used during treatment and
within 2 days (4 Milking) from the last treatment. |
