| Properties : |
| |
1- Piperamentic is rapidly absorbed from the proximal
region of the GI tract for that its action is fast .
2- Excretion of the drug is fast and within 24 hrs.
3- It acts by paralyzing the worm, so that the worm
will lose it’s motivity then passively swept along by
intestinal peristalsis.
4- Mature worms are more susceptible to the drug’s
action than young.
5- Larval stages are little affected by the drug, thus repeated
treatments must be given . |

| Indications : |

Prevention and treatment of Ascaridiasis, Intestinal
round worms (Strongyloides, Oxyuris and
Oesophagostomum) in all domestic animals and
poultry . |

| Dosage : |
| |
- Poultry :300-700 mg per bird (12 gm for 25 birds )
added to drinking water or feed .
- Large animals : 10-15 gm per 50 kg live body
weight added to drinking water or feed. Repeated
after 4 weeks for one day only . |

| Withdrawal period : |

Animal’s meat should not be used during treatment
and within 2 days from the last treatment . |

Should not be used in animals suffering from
heavy infestation . |
