| Properties : |
| |
Oxytetracycline is a broad spectrum antibiotic
which is active against gram positive and gram
negative bacteria, both aerobic and anaerobic
bacteria, Mycoplasma and large viruses. |

| Indications : |
| |
Indicated for the treatment of general bacterial
infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative
bacteria, Rickettsia, Mycoplasma and certain
large viruses; and for the prevention and treatment
of respiratory, urinary and enteric infections. |

| Dosage : |
| |
* Poultry : 100 gm per 200 Liters of drinking water
or 1 kg per ton of feed for 3-4 days .
* Small Ruminants (Calves and Lambs)and foals : 1-
1.5 gm per 20 kg body weight in drinking water
or in feed for 3-4 days . |

| Withdrawal Period : |

* Poultry : meat should not be used during treatment
and within 1 week from the last treatment.
* Ruminants : meat should not be used during
treatment and within 28 days from the last treatment. |

| Precautions : |

It is not recommended for cats, dogs, horses or
big ruminants. |
