Oxytetravet 10%


 Composition :
 
Each 1 gm Contains:  
- Oxytetracycline 100 mg.
   
 Properties :
 
Maximum blood levels are achieved after 4-8 hrs after IM injection.
   
 Indications :
 
Indicated in the treatment and control of a wide range of diseases in cattle, sheep and goats as atrophic rhinitis, Navel / joint ill, Mastitis, Metritis, Septicemia, Pasteurellosis and infections of the respiratory tract and in the control of enzootic abortion in sheep.
   
 Dosage and administration :
 
Administered by deep intramuscular injection.
 
   
 Precautions :
 
- Don’t inject more than 10 ml in the same injection site in large animals and not more than 2-5 ml in small animals. - Stop treatment if no improvement has been noticed within 24-48 hours and rediagnosis must be done.
   
 Contraindications :
 
- Using tetracycline during bone and tooth development, in late pregnancy lead to discoloration.
- Photodermatitis maybe observed after treatment.
   
 Withdrawal Period :
 
- Meat from treated animals shouldn’t be used during treatment and within 21 days from the last treatment.

- Milk from treated animals shouldn’t be used during treatment and within 6 days from the last treatment.
   
 Packing :
