| Properties : |
| |
- Levamisole is ( L-isomer ) of Tetramisole.
- Rapidly absorbed when given orally.
- Levamisole has been found to posses immunostimulant
effect, beside its effect on nematodes both on
adult and larval stages .
- Levamisole possesses a broad spectrum activity
against gastrointestinal and lung worms in cattle,
sheep, goats and poultry . |

| Indications : |

Levavet has a broad spectrum effect against gastrointestinal
roundworms and lungworms of cattle, sheep
and goats, and against intestinal ( Ascaridia galli) and
cecal (Hetrakis gallinae) worms of poultry, beside the
immune stimulant activity . |

| Dosage : |
| |
Poultry :
0.2 ml/1kg body weight in drinking water
two times daily, repeat the same dose after 3 weeks.
Large Animals ( Cattle, Sheep and Goats):
1 ml/ 15 Kg body weight in drinking water ( single
dose ) |

| Withdrawal period : |
| |
- Meat of large animals should not be used during
treatment and within 28 days from the last treatment
.
- Milk from treated animals should not be used
during treatment and within 2.5 days from the
last treatment . |

| Precautions : |
| |
Not to be administered within 14 days of treatment
with organophosphorus compounds or
diethylcarbamazine . |
