| Properties : |
| |
- Furosemide is a powerful diuretic of synthetic origin.
- The most important action of Furosemide is the renal
diuretic action, giving rise to a high diuresis in animals. |

| Indications : |
| |
Indicated for the treatment of oedematous syndromes:
- Congestive oedema due to cardiac insufficiency or
obstruction.
- Hypoproteinaemia due to renal proteinuria and
liver lesions.
- Oedema due to vascular lesions of allergic, toxic,
traumatic or inflammatory origin.
the cow and mare.
- For supportive treatment in the elimination of fluid
from body cavities.
- For supportive treatment in laminitis and paralytic myoglobinuria of horses. |

| Dosage and administration : |
| |
Administered by Intramuscular(IM) or intravenous(IV)
injection.
- Horses:
0. 5- 1 ml / 50 kg body weight IM/IV injection
(0.5-1.0 mg Furosemide per kg body weight
IM/IV ) 1-2 times per day , interval 6-8 hours .
Cattle:
0.5- 1 ml / 50 kg bodyweight IM/IV injection
(0.5-1.0 mg Furosemide per kg body weight
IM/IV ), interval 12-14 hours.
Dogs and Cats :
0.25-0.5 ml / 5 kg body weight
IM/IV injection ( 2.5- 5.0 mg Furosemide per kg
body weight IM/IV) 1-2 times per day, interval 6-8
hours . |

| Contraindications : |
| |
Not indicated in case of acute glomerular nephritis,
renal failure with anuria, and electrolyte deficiency. |

|
|
| Warnings : |
| |
The amount of drinking water should be restricted
during treatment. |
| |
|
|
| Withdrawal Period : |
| |
- Milk shouldn’t be offered for human consumption
or manufacturing for two milkings after the last
treatment.
- Meat shouldn’t be used during treatment and
within 2 days from the last treatment. |
