Enrofloxacin is the active substance and is one of the
latest antibacterial agents discovered, it belongs to
the third generation of the quinolones group .
- This particular antibiotic causes strong antibacterial
effect even with very low concentrations, it is
very well absorbed and distributed in almost all the
body tissues at a relatively short time with excellent
safety performance .
- Enrofloxacin is a bactericidal agent, it acts by blocking
a selective enzyme which is responsible of supercoiling
of DNA double helix,an essential step in
bacterial replication.
- Hence it is very beneficial in treating infections of
respiratory system, the gastrointestinal trac, the urinary
tract and even the skin, So it is highly recommended
for the treatment of local & systemic infections,
caused by pathogens of bacterial nature .
- Enrofloxacin is characterized by rapid absorption
after administration, reaching maximum plasmatic
concentration in 1-2 hours . |

| Indications : |

For the treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections
and diarrhea which caused by gram positive and
gram negative bacteria in calves, Lambs & Small
Camels .
- Gram Positive bacteria : Staph., Strept., Clostridia .
- Gram negative bacteria : Klebsicalla E.coli, Pasteurella,
Salmonella , Haemophilus |

Administered directly using plunger, each pump of
the plunger delivers 1 ml of the product .
- Lambs : 2-4 ml daily for 3-5 days .
- Calves : 4-6 ml daily for 3-5 days .
- Small camels : 6-10 ml for 3-5 days .>

Because the damaging action of Enrofloxacin on
articulation, care must be taken in not increasing the
recommended dosage and time of treatment .
Gastrointestinal disorders may appear in calves . |
