| Properties : |

1- Colistin is an antibiotic that is highly effective
against gram negative bacteria.
2- It is not absorbed through the intestine thus it is
presence for extended period of time enables it to
control of bacteria effectively.
3- It is characterized by its ability to penetrate the cell
wall and thus directly affecting the amino acids
and destroying them. |

| Indications : |

Indicated for the treatment of :
General bacterial infections caused only by gramnegative
bacteria . Used to treat gastrointestinal tract
infections caused by E.coli, Klebsiella, Salmonella,
Pasteurella and Pseudomonas. Bovine Mastits (Pseudomonas
aeruginosa) and all kinds of enteritis. |

Poultry :
100 gm per 200 - 400 Lit of drinking water
for 4 days.
Small Ruminants (Calves and Lambs) and Foals :
1
gm per 20 Kg body weight in drinking water for 4
days. |

| Withdrawal Period : |
| |
Animal products should not be used during treatment
and within four days from the last treatment. |

| Precautions : |
| |
Calves and lambs should not be treated for more
than 4 consecutive days. |
