| Properties : |
| |
Allergine is antihistamines competitively inhibits
histamine at H1 receptor. In addition; it also has
substantial sedative, anticholinergic, antitussive, and
antiemetic effects. |

|
| Indications : |
| |
Allergine is indicated in the treatment of allergies,
anaphylactic and inflammatory disease – urticaria, allergic
dermatides and dermatoses, allergic conjunctivitis,
drug and feed related allergies.
Anaphylactic shock; aseptic total (diffuse) pododermatitis
( laminitis acuta), and chronic alveolar emphysema
in horses; bronchial asthma, atony of forestomach and
retained placenta in large and small ruminants; gangrenous
mastitis in sheep; oedema disease; cases of insect
and snake bites; transport disease; for anaesthesia of the
nasal mucosa. |

| Dosage and administration : |
| |
Administered by intramuscular injection, subcutaneouse
or intravenous.
- Cattle : 0.5 – 1 mg active ingredient/kg per
animal. IM or IV Injectable Solution

- Horses : 0.25 – 1 mg active ingredient/kg per
animal. IV or IM.
- Dogs&Cats : 1 mg active ingredient/kg per animal
three times daily. IM, SC, IV. |

| Contraindications : |
| |
Diphenhydramine is contraindicated in patients with
angle closure glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, pyloroduodenal
or bladder neck obstruction, and COPD
if mucosal secretion are a problem, hyperthyrodisim,
cardiovascular disease or hypertension. |

| Warnings : |
| |
-The most commonly seen adverse effect are CNS
depression( lethargy, somnolence), and anticholinergic
effects (dry mouth, urinary retention).
-The sedative effects of antihistamines may adversly
affect the performance of working dogs. |

|
| Withdrawal Period : |
| |
-Meat should not be used during treatment and
within 24 hours from the last treatment.
-Milk should not be used during treatment and
within 24 hours from the last treatment. |
